Overview
Project: Packaging for Trojan Condoms
This is class work
In this project, we were asked to create condom and foil packaging design for a demographic of our choice. Our packaging design should make responsibility interesting and change the way condoms are purchased. We were are encouraged to use humor and modern design aesthetics to make the subject of condom use and safe sex more approachable.
I choose to create condoms for local Seattle bar hoppers. "Cheers" is a series of condoms based off of specific bars in Capitol Hill. They're meant to be sold on location for your more spontaneous encounters and as an interesting take away. "Cheers" is all about having fun, exploring what Seattle has to offer and being safe during you're sexy-times.
The design of the foils and boxes are throwbacks to vintage match books that were once available in restaurants. The boxes also slide open like matchboxes do. But while the aesthetic ties all the packaging together, each condom packaging also shows a little of the spirit of their bar (Linda's Tavern, Grim's and Unicorn).
